Family Planning Medical Assistant Position Westchester Medical Center Locations: Valhalla, NY & Mamaroneck, NY Hours: M-F, 8:30 AM - 4.30 PM The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Westchester Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Family Planning Medical Assistant to join our Division of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery & Complex Family Planning. This is an employed position with comprehensive benefits. We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about providing all aspects of reproductive healthcare, including abortion care. Job Responsibilities

• Clinical functions such as patient rooming, intake, vital signs, venipuncture, medical charting, assisting clinicians during exams and procedures
• In coordination with licensed staff, provides patient follow-up on lab results and referrals
• Provides pregnancy testing, information and referral, schedules patients for follow-up appointments
• Basic office functions such as stocking supplies, billing and coding, routine insurance data entry
• Cleaning and maintaining medical equipment and supplies, including sterilization of reusable materials

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred but not required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to embrace a fast-paced and dynamic environment where daily responsibilities can change frequently
• Experience with electronic medical record system (Cerner preferred but not required)
• Experience in obstetrics & gynecology clinical setting
• Experience in an abortion clinic or other setting in which contraception and abortion services are provided is preferred but not required.
• Bilingual English / Spanish preferred but not required as long as you are willing to use telephone interpreter.
