The CNA provides direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a RN and in accordance with policies and procedures. Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values. What You Bring/Job Requirements:In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:* Six months previous CNA experience preferred.* Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English* Basic computer skills* Previous customer service experience preferred* High School diploma or GED required within one year of hire* Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program preferred* State registered CNA license required* BLS from the American Heart Association required* Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training preferred. CPI training required if sitting with M-1 holdsPhysical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly) Your Connected Community:When people and places align, incredible things happen. Just like the 21,000+ amazing associates who work here, every community within Centura Health's connected ecosystem has its own unique history, story and personality. The Ortho Surgical department at Porter Adventist Hospital is a 24-bed unit caring for total knee and hip arthroplasty patients affiliated with Colorado Joint Replacement or Dr. White. The average daily census ranges from eight to sixteen. The unit does not take overflow patients. Ortho Surgical unit creates a positive patient experience while preparing patients for discharge, which can be on the same day as the surgery or on post-op day one. Unit day shift nurses have from five to twelve years of experience. Currently, night shift nurses work Monday through Thursday nights. The unit is closed on weekends and most holidays. Nurses want to join our department because of the great team, low staff turnover, and high patient satisfaction.
