Water's Edge Pain Clinic, a part of MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital, is seeking a Psychologist to work alongside pain specialists and Advanced Practice Providers in chronic pain management. This opportunity boasts a 4 day (10 hour days) workweek and promotes a healthy work/life balance.Job duties would include:1.Psychological testing for surgical implants like spinal cord stimulators and intrathecal pain pumps. (Mentorship and education will be readily available) 2.Work as a collaborative team approach in patient management which includes regular scheduled pain conferences and staff education. 3.Evaluate opioid risk assessment on patients. Recommend strategies to reduce risk. 4.Cognitive behavioral therapy for chronic pain. Can include biofeedback 5.Consider small group classes for stress, anxiety, pain coping, education. 6.Work with patients on overcoming fear/avoidance behavior due to chronic pain. 7.Assessment for depression and anxiety related to chronic painWater's Edge is a holistic pain treatment clinic for chronic pain management that believes in treating the patient, not just their pain. Experience and/or strong interest in Pain Medicine preferred
Washington State License (or eligible for licensure)
Current board certification (PsyD preferred or PhD)
Experience and/or strong interest in Pain Medicine preferred
Doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited educational institution
