Work with Practice Manager and providing support with training of Medical Assistant staff.
Serve as communication liaison between manager, physicians and medical assistance staff.
Provide input and suggestions of improvement in patient flow, clinical policies and procedures.
In addition, will administer medication and works directly with other health care professionals at the site as well as ancillary department and services to coordinate care.
Utilizes a defined skill set consistent with the basic educational program, certification, and relevant work experience to deliver direct care to the patient in the outpatient clinical setting.

Responsibilities
Working under the direct supervision/licensure of the physician, the Lead Medical Assistant is an integral member of the health care team and is responsible for coordinating the pre/intra/post aspects of the medical visit.
Those include direct care, registration and scheduling, physician-patient communication, precertification, scanning, supervising, order medical supplies and other office-related tasks.
Qualifications:
Education
Required: High school diploma/GED required with completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program
Experience
Preferred: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience
Certifications
Required: BLS, Certified Medical Assistant and must maintain active certification in both.
