Fairview Health Services is searching for enthusiastic RNs looking for a rewarding career in our busy Care Suites located at our Edina, Minnesota campus. This is an evening position, 8 hour shifts with occassional weekends, benefit eligible.
Care Suites which includes, Pre-Post Cath Lab and Radiology/ Imaging and other cardiovascular patients. Will perform comprehensive nursing assessments on interventional and diagnostic patients included under the radiology/ cardiovascular care umbrella. Pre and Post procedure care responsibilities encompass a wide range of radiology diagnostic and interventional procedures including, but not limited to heart caths, PTCR, arterial angiograms, electrophysiology studies, and a wide variety of radiologic diagnostic and interventional procedures. Nursing responsibilities also include monitoring patients receiving sedation in a variety of settings. Primary population is adults with some pediatrics.

Responsibilities/Job Description
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
Provides care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to patients and familys diversity, preserving their autonomy, dignity and rights.
Conducts ongoing assessments as determined by patients condition and/or the hospital policies, procedures or protocols and reprioritizes care accordingly.
Pain Management including; administer medications, record, assess and observe patient progress, reactions and symptoms.
Establish and implement nursing care plans for each patient through assessment, development, activation, evaluation and discharge.
Maintains confidentiality in matters related to patient, family and facility.
Participate in non-clinical assignments, which may include serving on special committees
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Active MN RN License.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare provider certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Two years of current RN cardiac and telemetry experience or Care Suites experience
Willingness to train as Charge RN.
Preferred qualifications:
BSN
Communicate with and educate patients and families who come from a diverse background.
Experience with Post PCI Sheath removal
Providing moderate sedation
Experience with outpatient cardiology and radiology procedural care
Ability to perform autonomously and work cohesively with a team.
Demonstrate the ability to work under stress in a variety of situations.
