Patients at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center have access to a medical staff of more than 550 physicians and allied health professionals who practice in a comprehensive range of specialties and use the hospital's advanced medical technology. Among the members of the medical staff are surgeons whose specialties include cardiovascular, gynecological, spine and joint and reconstructive procedures.
This is a full-time Salaried position with variable hours. Requires an Active Florida or Multi-State Registered Nursing License. Must have a Bachelors Degree in Nursing or are in process of obtaining a one.
Functions independently to collaborate, assess, identify and meet the educational needs of Hospital staff to maintain and improve competence in their defined roles and provide opportunity for staff fulfillment of regulatory agency requirements. Responsible for the design and implementation of effective educational programs through application of adult learning principles and utilizing multiple teaching approaches including blended learning, to meet multiple staff learning styles. Creates or revises pertinent educational programs, coordinates implementation of course content, monitors participant progress and evaluates overall effectiveness of programs. Participates in and contributes to interdisciplinary performance improvement activities. Integrates evidence based practice and nursing theory into education interventions. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.
